About Southland Strings Lutherie
Guitar Technician - Luthier - Musician
Hello, my name is Gerry Gardner and welcome to Southland Strings Lutherie.
I have been a lifetime musician and enthusiast of all things guitar.
Since I first learned to play, I have always maintained my own instruments.
I spent a number of years in another profession, but still stayed connected to music and playing guitar.
I made the decision to make my passion for guitars my focus, and Southland Strings Lutherie was born.
By attending the Southeast Guitar Repair Academy, I received my certification for guitar repair/lutherie as well completed the Master's courses within the program. Through the academy, I interned with Barrett Culpepper, Master Luthier and owner of Southeast Guitar Repair and Academy. Under his guidance, I honed my skills and knowledge in guitar repair and lutherie. My education did not stop there. I am continually adding to my skills and knowledge through continuing education from the academy as well as other programs of study.
My Philosophy:
Personal Tailored Precision Matters.
I inspect every instrument down to the smallest detail.
My Southland Setup is measured down to the thousandths of an inch.
This is so I can fine tune the instruments feel and playability.
You won't get that from the big stores, where it's about turning customers.
That is why I have the 90 day playability guarantee.
Got a guitar, bass, mandolin, ukulele, banjo, violin, or other stringed and fretted instrument?
Bring it in and experience the Southland difference.
